Guest Facilitator – Isabel Ruediger, RCC
Isabel is a retired fire captain from the City of Surrey. She holds a master’s degree of Counselling and works as a registered clinical counsellor in North Vancouver. Through her experiences as a first responder, she believes that the effects of occupational stress and exposure to potentially traumatic events can sometimes lead to struggles in experiencing a quality of life. Working with a culturally aware therapist can be an opportunity to ensure proactive mental health in navigating the balance of work and personal life. In working with first responder clients, she draws upon evidence-based CBT modalities to provide goal-directed tools for moving forward and maintaining a resilient mindset. Currently, she works with youth and adults with anxiety, depression, OCD and trauma-related issues.
