Nina Patel is the Regional Director General for the Pacific Region of Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), which is considered one of the most geographically diverse regions in Canada. The Pacific Region encompasses British Columbia and the Yukon Territory and is bordered by the province of Alberta, four American states, and the Pacific Ocean, including over 27,000 km of coastline and more than 6,000 islands.
Nina brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to the position with over 24 years of service with the CBSA. She started her career in the Pacific Region as a student officer and she held various management positions throughout the region until 2013 when she was appointed Director of the Central Alberta District, Prairie Region, where she oversaw the day to day operation of two international airports managing both the passenger and commercial programs. In 2016, Nina accepted an assignment as the Director of Canada’s largest international airport of entry, Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Nina is a progressive leader with a wide range of experience in multiple organizational contexts and CBSA business lines. In 2019, she returned “home” to the Pacific Region.
