BCWLE is proud to be the recipient of a generous grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, which will enable us to launch our new scholarship fund and in-school presentation series.
Program Overview
Scholarship Applications
Scholarship applications are now closed. In 2026, BCWLE awarded 8 scholarships at $2600 each. The scholarships were open to all female youth aged 17-25 years who reside in British Columbia and are enrolled or have an accepted application to a Canadian post-secondary institution. Applications for 2027 scholarships will be accepted from March 1, 2027 until 11:59 PM on April 30, 2027.

The form will include the following:
3 short answer questions (150-250 words each)
- What role does “community” play in your life?
- Tell us about an experience that you have had with law enforcement.
- Why are you interested in a career in law enforcement and what are your career/academic goals?
An essay answer (850-1000 words)
Why are you the best candidate to receive a scholarship from BCWLE?
Upload of the required documentation
- Resume
- Proof of enrolment in a full-time academic post secondary program
- Copy of most recent transcript (unofficial for application; official certified copies required for grant award)
- Copy of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency documentation
- Copy of photo identification that includes address
- One reference letter (volunteer, academic, or professional)
