BCWLE is proud to be the recipient of a generous grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, which will enable us to launch our new scholarship fund and in-school presentation series.

Scholarship Applications

Scholarship applications for 2026 are now open. BCWLE will be awarding 7 scholarships at $2600 each. The scholarships will be open to all female youth aged 17-25 years who reside in British Columbia and are enrolled or have an accepted application to a Canadian post-secondary institution. Applications for 2026 scholarships will be accepted from March 1, 2026 until 11:59 PM on April 30, 2026.

The form will include the following:

3 short answer questions (150-250 words each)

  1. What role does “community” play in your life?
  2. Tell us about an experience that you have had with law enforcement.
  3. Why are you interested in a career in law enforcement and what are your career/academic goals?

An essay answer (850-1000 words)

Why are you the best candidate to receive a scholarship from BCWLE?

Upload of the required documentation

  1. Resume
  2. Proof of enrolment in a full-time academic post secondary program
  3. Copy of most recent transcript (unofficial for application; official certified copies required for grant award)
  4. Copy of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency documentation
  5. Copy of photo identification that includes address
  6. One reference letter (volunteer, academic, or professional)
