Anne-Marie has been a police officer for over 15 years. She spent the first 13.5 years of her career working for the VPD – she worked in operations until 2016, and then spent over 3.5 years working in VPD Public Affairs as the social media officer/media alternate. Anne-Marie patched over and became a police officer with the Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia in September, 2019, where she was promoted to the rank of Corporal and became the social media officer for the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Professional Communications. Anne-Marie has experience writing media releases and holding press conferences, as well as experience creating and leading many campaigns including: public safety initiatives, International Women’s Day, National Police Week, Medic Alert Connect Protect, Cops for Cancer, and many others. She is passionate about promoting BCWLE and connecting women in law enforcement across British Columbia. Anne-Marie believes that as women in law enforcement, we are even stronger when we are able to connect, support, motivate, and encourage each other throughout our careers.
