Superintendent Jody Waldron has dedicated her career to public safety since 1993, beginning as a dispatcher for the Delta Police Department and RCMP 43 Vancouver. In 2002, she advanced her career by joining the Delta Police as a constable, where she has since made significant contributions across various divisions.
Throughout her career, Superintendent Waldron has served in multiple sections, including Surveillance, the Sexual Offences Section, as a Platoon Commander in Patrol and Recruiting. Her commitment to professional development has led her to her current position as the Superintendent in charge of Operations, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the community.
A life-long resident of South Delta, Superintendent Waldron has balanced her demanding career with family life. She is a proud mother of two teenage boys and shares her journey with her husband, a retired RCMP member. This balance between motherhood and policing has shaped her approach to leadership and community service.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Superintendent Waldron actively gives back to her community by volunteering as a Bocce coach for the BC Special Olympics, fostering inclusion and sportsmanship among young athletes.
Her educational background includes a graduation from the Kwantlen College Public Safety Communications Program. Furthermore, she holds a Certificate in Change Management from the UBC Sauder School of Business and was a member of the 2022 cohort for the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Global Studies Program.
