Shannon has been with the VPD since 2003 working in Patrol and Traffic. She is one of the first ten women to be a Motor Officer in the history of VPD. She spent the last three years working in the Downtown Eastside, before joining the Hit and Run Team.  As one of the Founding members, Shannon played a key role in the creation and growth of BCWLE as the Interim President.  Shannon has a background in accounting and is happy to use those strengths to keep building on the success of this association from the Treasurer’s role. Since its inception, she has proudly seen the positive effect of the association that filled the gap for women in policing in this province. For Shannon, the importance of BCWLE can be summarized by one of her favourite sayings from Ryunosuke Satoro:  Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.
