Senior Crime Analyst at Port Moody Police Department (PMPD), with experience analyzing and interpreting unstructured crime data to inform law enforcement strategies and operations. Her expertise is in building bespoke databases, regression modelling, and scripting PowerAutomate bots for public safety purposes. Notable projects include serving as the a) sole developer of PMPD Intranet system to improve agency-wide communications and data stewardship, b) architect and lead web developer for the new public-facing website (2026 launch), and c) policy-lead that established PMPD’s first formal research program to leverage academic expertise. When she’s not crime-fighting, Vienna is developing forensic tools at Simon Fraser University’s Centre for Forensic Research Entomology Laboratory as a principal investigator for multiple aquatic decomposition studies, teaching undergraduate students in research/statistics/quantitative methods, and establishing the Canadian Research Institute of Pacific Taphonomy (CRIPT) facility.
